Anderson, Dr. Raymond E. age 88 of Mpls, passed away on January 6, 2013. Survived by Margaret J. Anderson, loving wife of 63 years; sons, Dean, Stuart, and Brian; and grandson, Jeremy. Ray was born in Buffalo, Minnesota in 1924, served in the NROTC (1942-1946), and earned B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Anderson was Professor of Speech and Communications at Augs- burg College from 1949 - 1990 where he is remembered for his commitment to excellence, dedication to teaching, wry and refreshing humor, and his warm and caring disposition. Personal interests included trumpet, piano, tennis, painting, woodworking, and writing. Ray's memory is cherished by family and friends who were deeply enriched by his loving and creative presence and spirit. Private services for family were held at Becketwood Chapel on January 12, 2013. Public Memorial service to be held on February 15, 2013 at 1:30 pm in the Hoversten Chapel, Foss, Lobeck, Miles Center, Augsburg College, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers family requests donations in memory of Raymond E. Anderson to Episcopal Homes Foundation (www.ehomesmn.org/foundation).
