Bren, Richard J., Jr. "Dick" of Eden Prairie, born March 31, 1933, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by parents, Richard and Martha, and infant son, Jimmy, brothers including his twin Evan, and Gregory. Dick graduated from Eden Prairie High School '51 and the University of Minnesota '55. He was Athletic Director for the City of St. Louis Park for 8 years followed by a lengthy career in real estate. His love of the outdoors included hunting, fishing and playing town baseball and softball for many years. He also enjoyed coaching youth baseball in St. Louis Park and Eden Prairie, He and his wife Bev enjoyed traveling, spending time at their children's cabins, and wintering in Arizona where they made many life-long friends. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially with his adored granddaughters and great-grandchildren. In his retirement years, he especially enjoyed following and supporting Eden Prairie H.S. sports and American Legion baseball. Dick is survived by his wife, Bev; daughter, Joni (Ralph) Teschner; son, Jerry (Loree) Bren; granddaughters, Krissi (Kevin) Green, Lauren, Alyssa and Jenny Bren; great-grandchildren, Grace and Robbie Green; brother, Bruce (Kaye) Bren; sister, Barbara (Ike) Eigen; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Presbyterian Church or donor's choice.
