Thompson, Terry D. age 72, of Plymouth. Terry was born in Estherville, IA and was raised in Mankato, MN. He moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in journalism. After 37 years, Terry retired from the Star Tribune where he worked in retail advertising. Terry was a gentle, kind, funny, sensitive and humble man and was loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and reading, but most of all, he loved duck hunting. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen; son, Daniel; grandson, Jack; two sisters, Linda (Bill) Rawitzer and Susan (Marvin) Hrubes; special family members, Beth and Bill Dugan, Samantha, Mike and Brody Burdick, Tanner & Lauren Dolan, Mildred Peterson, Joanne LeBold, Dominic Stevenson, Rachel Thompson and many other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by son, Matthew; parents, Glenn and Louise Thompson. Memorial service Saturday, 12:00 pm at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, with visitation beginning at 11:30 am. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Gearty-Delmore 763-553-1411
