Vasaly, Thomas Peter died on August 22, 2013, at age 92. He was born and raised in Little Falls, Minnesota, where he distinguished himself as a gifted student and athlete. He also served as his high school class president. After high school, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he obtained a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota. He used his extraordinary gift for numbers in his long career as Executive Secretary of the Minneapolis Board of Estimate and Taxation. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, tennis, and duplicate bridge. A man of immeasurable kindness, generosity and integrity, he considered family of the greatest importance. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carol; his children Thomas, Ann, Mary, and Paul; his grandchildren Laura, Michael, Thomas and Madeleine; and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN 55347, on October 5, 2013, at 11 a.m., with luncheon to follow.
