Billye Rae Stone Billye Rae Stone was born on March 21, 1937 in Dallas, Texas. She graduated valedictorian from Sunset High School. Billye moved to Austin and graduated from The University of Texas, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega and the Orange Jackets. While at UT, Billye met and married the love of her life, Wilton Stone. They shared a wonderful life together raising three children, traveling, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns. Billye always wanted to be a teacher and she spent 32 years following this calling. Her caring heart and unfailing faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Billye was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen and Ronald Funk, and newborn son, Ronald Leslie Stone. Billye is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wilton Rodger Stone, Sr.; son Rod Stone of Dallas; daughter Cathy Stone of Austin; daughter Jennifer Stone Norwood of Ft. Worth and grandson Jacob Michael Norwood. Additionally, Billye is survived by her sister, Carol Cox and husband, Don; nieces Carrie Spillars and Donna Peavler; and cousin Charlie Ruff. Billye's sudden passing on June 20, 2013 has left a big empty void in the lives and hearts of all who were privileged to know and love her.
