Don Gordon died peacefully at home on March 28th. He was 61 years old. Don was born in Denver, Co. on April 30, 1952 to Donald Leroy and Mary Anna Gordon. After graduation from high school in Abilene, Tx. Don attended the University of Texas at Austin from which he graduated in 1974.
Don loved traveling, camping, bicycling, reading, and spending time with his dear friends. Most of all Don deeply loved the Baha'i Faith and its world-embracing vision. He has been a member of the Baha'i Faith since 1972.
He is survived by his sister, Leanne Wells, her husband, Mike, and their children, Penny Plavidal, Edward, and Jon, his sister, Marilyn Dykes, her daughters, Corianna Seward and Elizabeth Karin, many great nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife and (surprisingly) best friend, Sally Eddleman.
Don is most well-known for his delightful sense of humor, even in the most difficult of times, his intellect, and the joy and comfort he brought to our lives. He is dearly, dearly loved and will forever be in our hearts.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the
