Edward Paul Freach Obituary
Edward Paul Freach Edward Paul Freach, 84, formerly of Conklin, New York and Round Rock, Texas passed away on February 14, 2013 in Round Rock. Born in 1928, he was a Korean War Veteran (Sergeant First Class, US Army). Ed began his career as a printer at Remlick Printing Company and worked for 25 years as a process technician at IBM in Endicott, New York. He was married to Sandra Freach [Hujar] for 49 years and raised two boys, Richard Freach of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jon Freach of Austin, Texas. Ed was an avid tinkerer, designer, builder, and fixer of all things. He personified the "good neighbor" through his friendly manner, small talk, and helping hands. His dry wit and modesty were a regular feature even in his final hours. And, in his own life he set an example that was gentle, confident, and easy to follow for his family and many others. Upon learning of his passing, two men of no relation and a generation apart, one from the North and one from the South, both reflected "Ed was my mentor." He is predeceased by his mother Mary, father Michael, brother George, and sister Mary. He is survived by his oldest sister Margaret, and wife Sandra and their two sons, Richard and Jon, two sisters-in-law, Judy Murphy and Christina Hujar, and one brother-in-law, Joseph Murphy. He is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Tanya Freach of Austin, Texas and Gisela Franco of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one grandson Grant Freach, and three granddaughters, Krystal, Harper and Rae Freach, all of Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Binghamton, New York.
