WEISSE, Elizabeth JaneElizabeth Jane Weisse was born January 26th, 1962 at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts. She passed away much too young of Cancer at the home of close friends in Austin Texas, two days before her 52nd Birthday. Beth is preceded in death by her parents, M/Sgt. Robert Frederick Weisse and Mother JoAnn Leatherman Weisse of Austin: Grandparents Edward and Hattie Seiffert Weisse of Pennsylvania: Grandparents Mart and Nellie Leatherman of Bartlett Texas: Uncle Edward and Marianne Weisse of New Jersey: cousin Patrick Sims of Austin: and James Paul Jacobs III her long time partner. Beth is survived by her brother Robert Martin Weisse of Austin: Aunt Wilma and Dale Weisse Brockmann of Arizona: Aunt Jane Van Praag of Bartlett Texas: Aunt Kathryn of Maryland: Uncle Alfred Weisse of Minnesota: Mark and Caroline Brockmann of California: Steve and Melissa Brochmann of Alaska: Cousins Eric Van Praag of Holland Texas: Kirk Van Praag of Bartlett: Jennifer Crews of Austin. Beth is also survived by a number of long time friends, acquired from childhood through college and career. They stayed close throughout, enriching her life immeasurably. Rick and Caroline Hawley: Gina Wilhelm: Sarah Camacho: Alyssa Slade: Joni Stoughton: Julie Tautenhahn: Kerri Antilley: Lisa Ostler: Suzanne Teran Robinson: and Vicki Phelps, all of whom will miss her warm fun-loving personality. In 1980 Beth graduated from John H. Regan High School, then applied her creative talents in ceramics and other media while pursuing a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her livelihood in office administration and held fond memories of her secretarial work for IBM/Multek General Managers until the plant closed in 2001. Beth was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church. Services will be held at Donahoe Cemetery on February 9th at 2:00pm. Please bring a balloon to release after the service.
