Frederick Charles Page, age 69, formerly of Grand Rapids, MI, Dover, AR and Austin, TX died peacefully on Wednesday November 27, 2013---at his home in Fischer, TX. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patty (Campbell) Page; his daughter Michelle R. (Page) Smith and her friend Travis Dornak, grandchildren Zeth Smith, Dain Smith and Larkin Smith; one sister: Nancy A. Hamstreet (David) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; five brothers: Larry E. Page (Gretchen) of Muskegon, MI; Michael J. Page (Lucia) of Rockford, MI; Rev. Thomas P. Page, Richard G. Page (Sandy) and David J. Page, all of Grand Rapids,l MI; sisters-in-law Caroline Campbell and friend Ron Kruhl and Mary Jane Campbell of Austin, TX; and brothers-in-law Mike Campbell (Robin) of Cedar Park, TX and Jim Campbell (Debbie) of San Antonio, TX.: and several nieces and nephews.

Fred was born July 14, 1944 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In January 1963, Fred enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and received basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He was assigned to the Tan Son Nhut Air base, in Vietnam. While in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal (with "V" device).

Fred was an excellent carpenter. He built new homes, repaired existing homes, constructed additions and three-season porches for many satisfied customers. He most recently worked for David Weekly Homes based in Houston, TX.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Grand Rapids, MI with Rev. Thomas P. Page, celebrant. Friends and family will greet visitors at church starting at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following Mass, a military salute by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard is planned, along with a luncheon and fellowship in the St. Alphonsus Parish Center next to the church.
