Grady LOUDERMILK Obituary

Grady Loudermilk, 91, passed away at his home in Cedar Park, TX on April 4, 2014, and is survived by his beloved wife and friend of 48 years, Barbara Loudermilk, his daughters, Ann and Martha, and his grandsons, Jackson and Aiden.

Grady was born and raised in Temple, TX and, after serving as a US Navy man in the S. Pacific during WWII, moved to Austin where he attended the University of Texas and became a follower of Texas Longhorn sports for life. For over 40 years Grady was employed at PageSoutherlandPage as an architectural draftsman, and enjoyed a long and interesting career with projects which included IBM, Seton Hospital, and Austin's ABIA airport. After retirement from PSP, Grady enjoyed several more years in his field working with friends at Kirby W. Perry AIA Architects.

Grady was happiest when learning and exploring new interests, and his many interests included orchids, photography, baking, painting, wood carving, astronomy, dulcimers, guitar and banjo. He was admired by many for his sharp mind, big friendly smile, and his love of a good joke. And, he will always be remembered by those who knew him for his mischievous one-liners!

Grady is missed dearly by his friends and family and will live in our hearts as one of the last of the true Southern gentlemen. A life well lived, Grady Allen Loudermilk rest in peace.
