John "Bogie" Kevin Beauregard Services for John "Bogie" Kevin Beauregard, 49, of Corpus Christi, TX will be at 10:00AM Thursday, December 6th at Saint Pius X Catholic Church. A rosary will be held Wednesday, December 5th at 7:00PM at Guardian Funeral Home, with public viewing beginning at 6:00PM. Visitation in Lubbock, TX will be held on Friday, December 7th at LakeRidge Chapel and Memorial from 5-8PM. Burial will be 10:00AM Saturday, December 8th at Peaceful Garden Cemetery in Lubbock, TX. John went to be with the Lord following a tragic car accident while returning home from a Scouting event at Camp Huisache in Laredo, TX, Saturday, December 1, 2012. John was born on May 26, 1963 in Downey, California to Nancy and John Beauregard. He married Christie Parker, August 12, 1988 in Lubbock, TX. They have two sons, John Michael and Matthew Beauregard. John graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Recreation. John began his Scouting career as a District Executive with the South Plains Council in Lubbock, TX in 1988. He then served as Finance Director with the Capitol Area Council in Austin, TX; Field Director with the Evangeline Area Council in Lafayette, LA and Scout Executive with the Choctaw Area Council in Meridian, MS. John has served as Scout Executive and CEO with the South Texas Council in Corpus Christie since 2008. John was very active in both of his sons Scouting advancement. Throughout the years John has been involved with Rotary International and Kiwanis Service Clubs. He is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association and Alpha Phi Omega. John was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. John is survived by his wife, Christie, their two sons, John Michael and Matthew Beauregard; parents Nancy and John Beauregard of Rancho Palos Verdes, California; two siblings, a brother, David Beauregard and wife Tracie of Edmond, Oklahoma, and a sister Reneè and husband Rogelio Ruiz of Moreno Valley, California. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to an endowment fund established in John's name to support youth in Scouting.
