Paschall Wayne BAKER Obituary
BAKER, Paschall Wayne

Paschall Wayne Baker, mostly known to all as Pat, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Austin. A beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Pat was born on March 20, 1920 in Onalaska, TX, to the late Pert Wayne and Martha Clementine Baker. He spent his first few years in Onalaska, TX, later moving with his family to Houston, before moving to Harlingen in 1929, which is where, when asked, Pat would say he grew-up.

Throughout his life Pat enjoyed many activities riding horses, bird hunting, trap shooting, golf, and was an avid fan of western movies. During World War II Pat served in the Air Corp where he trained aviators to be radio operators. After the war, he was employed in the agriculture industry, which led to him settling in Lakeland, FL, in 1950.

Pat is survived by his wife Carolyn Baker of Austin; children, Joy Baker of New York, Paschall Wayne Baker, Jr., and wife, Stephanie, of Virginia, Samuel Baker of Florida, and Katherine Larson, and husband, Gus, of Austin; grandchildren Loukas and Duncan Baker, Samantha Kiser, Claire Kimball, Matthew, Anna, Eric, and Ryan Larson; and great-grandchildren Kyle and Amanda Baker, Emma, Olivia, and Christian Kimball; Judah and Ivah Kiser.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife Jeannette Baker, his brother Sam Yarbrough Baker, and his sister Julia (Clem) Ramert.

A Memorial Service celebrating Pat's life will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 23rd, at 5:30 p.m.
