Paul C 'Buzz' Crews, age 72, died November 30, 2013, in Austin, Texas.
Paul was born to the late Paul C Crews, Sr. and Isla May Crews, June 14, 1941, in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Sinton High School in 1959 and received his degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 1965.
Paul began his architectural career in Austin then moved to Munich, Germany with his family for several years. He returned to Austin in 1976 and practiced architecture until the time of his death. He was an active member of Construction Specification Institute (CSI), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and Roof Construction Institute (RCI). In all of his rolls he had always been completely dedicated to professionalism, honesty, accuracy, and clarity in communications.
Paul spearheaded the Austin Area Regional Transit (AART) effort to move toward his dream of a rail system in Austin fashioned after the system he had observed closely and admired in Germany.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pamela Cone Crews; his brother, Bill Crews; his sister, Jane Merrill; his children, Gayle Crews Borst, P. Stephen Crews, Phillip Crews, Amber Johnston Kennedy, Brian Johnston; his six beloved grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2013, at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
