BAXTER, Robert "Wayne"

Robert "Wayne" Baxter, 67, of Hutto, TX passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday June 21, 2014. Wayne was born on January 25, 1947 to William and Tolatha "Lulene" Baxter in McKinney TX.

Wayne was baptized at Hunt Street Church of Christ in McKinney TX. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1965. Wayne served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After serving his country Wayne began a 38 year long career with a public utility company that brought him to Hutto, TX.

Most of all Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family. He was constantly coaching sports teams and serving as a leader in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in support of his children and others in the community. In 1999 he met his loving wife Jayne. Together they enjoyed a number of baseball games as season ticket holders and big fans of the Round Rock Express. They also enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. Wayne loved teaching these activities and the safety involved with each to his extended family. It is a love that has been shared with his whole family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his Father, William Ramey Baxter and his Nephew, Ryan Alan Mott. Wayne is survived by his Wife, Jayne Baxter; his mother, Tolatha Baxter; his Brother, Jim Baxter and wife Charlotte; his sister, Shirley Mott and husband Roy; his children, Robert Baxter and wife Tammy; Krystal Thurston and her husband Brian; Stepchildren Darrell Morgan and Laura Morgan-Rinehart and husband Kurt; 3 adorable grandchildren, Bryce, Braid and Zayden as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
