Steven Kenneth Ried Steven Kenneth Ried passed away at the age of 61, on December 7, 2012, after a year and a half long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Alisa (Lisa); his parents, Lyle and Gerri Ried; his son, Steven Jr., and his wife; his daughter, Angela, and her husband; his six grandchildren; his brother Doug and his wife and children; his brother Rick and his wife and children; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve was a patrol officer for the Austin Police Department. He had previously retired from the United States Air Force. It was his honor to serve his country and his city. He will be missed by all those that knew him. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening, on Wednesday, the 12th of December 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at Cook-Walden, 6100 North Lamar, on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
