CONNELL, Timothy Jay|
Tim, 56, died on a quiet Sunday morning at 10:30. He just stopped breathing and passed away peacefully. He had a severe stroke one year ago and stayed at a nursing home here in Austin all year. He had developed the same heart disease as his father, in his forty's and through many operations, he finally got an artificial heart/LVAD in 2010. He recuperated and went back to work full time and led an active life until he had a stroke in his sleep. He dialed 911 and had surgery to save his life, but was bedridden all year. He was in a lot of pain and the family is glad he is at peace now.
Tim was a graduate of Anderson HS and Texas State Technical School. He was a well sought after machinist, a husband if 10 years with a four year old son. He loved his job and his family very much. He was a good father and husband. He was an avid fisherman and water skier. In his early years, at Travis Heights Elem and Fulmore Jr High, he was very involved in scouts as his father was the Pack Master. Tim played Little League baseball every year, playing catcher which he was excellent at. As an adult he spent a few years as a volunteer fireman in the Lake Travis area.
Tim was predeceased in 1991 by his father, Guy Jack Connell. He is survived by his wife, Anna Connell, his son Tymothie, his Mother Jane Connell DiMambro, his sister Candace Connell and her three sons, Zachary, Travis, and Kevin Lowe.
A service was held in February at Highland Park Baptist Church 5206 Balcones Dr. Austin 78731
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Austin Humane Society 124 W. Anderson Ln. 78752 orAustinHumaneSociety.org because Tim loved rescue/shelter dogs so much. Thank you.
