Alexander S. Buczynski

March 18, 1991 - February 10, 2014

Alexander Sage Buczynski, 22, of West Salem, was taken from us too soon on Monday, February 10th. Alex was born in Salem to Jeff and Megan. He attended Riviera Baptist School then Howard St. Charter. He graduated from West Salem High School in 2009. He had a lifelong love of baseball which culminated in him being a member of the WSHS Varsity Titan baseball team. He was a proud follower of Ducks sports. Every summer Alex, his brothers and Dad would travel to Marion Lake for a boys fishing adventure.

Alex was remembered for being a kind and gentle person with a contagious smile. He spent the past two years working at Les Schwab and last summer as a Wildland Firefighter. He planned to attend Chemeketa Community College for its Paramedic and Firefighting program.

Alex is survived by his true love Rachel Demyan of West Salem; his father Jeff Buczynski of West Salem; his mother Megan McKillip Buczynski of South Salem; his brothers Joshua (Jennifer), Jason (Lauren), Joseph (Charity), Zac and Matt of West Salem; his niece Laila; nephews Judson, Jarvis, Jarek, Jack, and Nikolas; his grandparents Aner and Donna Buczynski of Amity; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents Richard and Anne McKillip; his baby brother Michael and baby niece Lily.
