George Doll Obituary
GEORGE R. DOLL

June 5, 1921 - August 24, 2013

George R. Doll was born to William and Clara Doll in Waterloo, New York. He graduated from Waterloo High School at the top of his class at 16 years of age. He entered the US Army in 1939 and while stationed in Puerto Rico he met his wife Candida Torres who he married on May of 1941. He served in the 770th Bombardment Squadron in the air offensive on Japan, China, India/Burma air combat during World War II. He further served in the Korean War. He worked at Eastman Kodak until his retirement in 1979. He lived in Rochester, New York until he moved to Dallas four years ago to be with family.

He is survived by his wife Candida Doll, son Robert (Nancy), daughters Annabel Rakoczy (Paul) and Sonia Brule (Tom), 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephews Bill (Vena) Gardner and Ted (Mary Anne) Gardner. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Geraldine, brothers William, John and Frank.

A special thank you to his care givers for the help they provided with him during his last years.

Viewing will be from 2:00 to 6:00pm Wednesday, August 28th in the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Funeral service will be held at the White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York on Saturday, September 7th at 1:00 pm. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the local arrangements.
