Robert C. Mundt
April 24, 1923 - July 9, 2013
SALEM - Robert C. Mundt made his transition peacefully at Tokarski Hospice Home in West Salem. He was born in Salem, OR to Alfred F. and Margaret M. Mundt (Enslin).
Robert was a world traveler. Rome, Italy was his favorite. He was an avid student of Religions of the World and an excellent public speaker. He received a Master's Degree in Art from UCLA. He was a school teacher; part owner of The Academy of Hair Design, and had a restaurant at the Oregon Coast. He enjoyed cooking, loved classical music and played the bag-pipe. With all his accomplishments, Robert remained a very modest man.
He was an active member of Woodland Chapel. Graveside services will be held at a later date by Rev. Don Kerr. Robert will be buried in the Powell's family cemetery in Lebanon, OR.
Robert is survived by his partner of over 40 years George A. Powell, and cousins Laverne Sandrock of Philomath, OR and Marvin Zastrow of NY.
Special thanks to Willamette Valley Hospice.
