Robert Edward Schaub

Robert Edward Schaub, Jr. was born June 30, 1938 in Peoria, IL to Robert Edward Schaub Sr., and Irene (Gallagher) Schaub. He spent his grade school years in Sedwick, CO. At the age of 14, he set out to work in the Texas Oil Fields. After a few years of being on his own, his father found him and brought him by Ship to Scotland where he spent two happy years there working at various jobs at Caterpillar.
Robert served as Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy and recently given a special tribute from Hospice with an Award of his Navy Patch, that had been missing for over 54 years. Robert also farmed land near Sheridan and raised sheep for many years.
After those years he studied at Chemeketa Community College, Portland State University and Oregon State University where he completed his Social Work with honors. He then completed studies as an LCSW, working in that field at OSH for several years. With his evaluations and work ethic, he was considered to be an expert witness in the Court of Law.
He leaves his family: Tylee Schaub, daughter; Jasmine Schaub, granddaughter; Brothers: Tom Schaub (Diane), Gregory Schaub; Sisters: Theresa Corp (deceased), Sheila Reeves; Dorothy Musick (Steve), Joanie McHenry, (Lee); Marilyn Sanford and his beloved sister, Pat Donohoe, (deceased) March 2012.
Robert and Judith (Edwards) Schaub were married June 17, 1989. His step-children, whom he loved unconditionally, are Sonje Hawes, Bellingham, WA, and Jon Bajema (Penny) Pinole, CA and grandchildren: McKenzie Hawes, Jakes Hawes, Lainey Bajema Gooby, Chloe Bajema and Austin Bajema.
