Clara C. Landowski
Age 90, of Stevens Point, died Thursday December 27, 2012, at North Crest Assisted Living Facility where she made her home for the past 5 years. Clara was born July 31, 1922 to John & Victoria (Kaplan) Krupka in Mill Creek, Town of Carson. She attended local schools. She was employed at Weber Tackle Co. as a Fly Tier until her marriage to Alex Landowski on Oct. 19, 1957 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. The couple settled in Stevens Point and had two daughters.
Clara was a homemaker who took good care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, fishing and riding her bicycle. She was involved in various Church and community activities. She especially enjoyed volunteering at the Special Olympics. She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose #50 and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Alex Landowski, One daughter: Bernadette (Gerald) Adams of Norwalk, WI. Five grandchildren: Rose, Lily, Holly, Laurel and Wesley Adams. Son in law: Ken Pepowski of Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dolores Landowski-Pepowski, one sister; Albina Lesavage & five brothers: Walter, Vincent, John, Tom & Joe.
Funeral Mass 10:30 am Monday December 31, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. Officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of services Monday morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church.
