Gerald "Jerry" Brezinski
Gerald "Jerry" Brezinski age 75, of Stevens Point passed away Saturday morning January 5, 2013 at his home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
A Celebration of Life visitation for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 4-7pm at Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point. A Stevens Point Elks Club will hold a ritual at 6:00 Tuesday at the funeral chapel. A memorial will be established in his name for Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Jerry was born September 26, 1937 in Stevens Point, the son of Henry and Zella (Scribner) Brezinski. He graduated from St. Norbert High School in DePere in 1955, and returned to the area where he worked with the family business, Brezinski Motors. Jerry married Mary Ann Soik on January 24, 1961 in Stevens Point. He earned his B.S. degree from UWSP in 1970. Jerry taught elementary school for 27 years in the Tri-County School System in Plainfield, until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of Elks Lodge #641. He enjoyed trips up North fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards with friends and was a computer enthusiast, but most of all loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann: their two children: Cherie (Patrick) Ranfranz, Cameron, WI; Eric Brezinski, Green Bay. Granddaughter Genna Ranfranz, St. Cloud, MN. One brother James (Elizabeth) Brezinski, Wausau. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Philip.
