Roger A. Bemowski

Roger A. Bemowski, age 71, died unexpectedly on April 2, 2014. He was born May 30, 1942 in Stevens Point.

Roger served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1964. In 1965 he married Kathryn (Kati) Worzalla and they lived in Waukesha for 6 months before moving back to Stevens Point. He worked for Worzalla Publishing Co. for 2 years and then went to work for Wisconsin Public Service Corp. in 1967 until his retirement in 2002.

Roger loved nature and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to travel and spent 2 summers in Alaska with his wife, a trip to Maine, a trip to New Mexico with his wife and son, Dale, and flying cross country with his son Paul. He also enjoyed frequent trips to Mercer, WI, to spend time at his cabin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alois and Genevieve, his brother, Robert, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn, 4 children, Dale and Daniel (Karen) both of Stevens Point, Paul (Elaina Tess, fiancé) of Oakland, CA, and Sarah (Eric) Falkavage of Grafton, WI, and 3 grandchildren, Lucas, Andrew and Tyler.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 8, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the Mass.

Visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home of Stevens Point is assisting the family with arrangements.
