Michael Anthony Cashion

Michael Anthony Cashion was born March 31, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia to Viola Hensley and Albert Ellie Cashion. At a young age he joined the Merchant Marines and worked freighters throughout the world. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1971 and immediately served in the Viet Nam war.
Following his military service, Michael became a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Orlando, Florida. He specialized in motorcycle law enforcement and fleet maintenance. Michael was married to Linda Bourne from 1986 to 2006 and together they traveled to Portugal, England, Maryland and Biloxi. Michael continued to provide civil service to the nation culminating in his final assignment supporting the flying mission at Keesler Air Force Base.
Michael passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 following a prolonged illness. He expressed his deepest gratitude to the medical staff at UAB Medical Center for supporting him through the last years of his life.
He is survived by his family of friends.
Visitation and services will be Thursday at 12:30 at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home - Howard Avenue in Biloxi with interment at Biloxi National Cemetery.
