Shane Louis Nesbett
1976 - 2013
Mr. Shane Louis Nesbett, age 37, was called back to the Lord during the late night hours of April 7, 2013. Mr. Nesbett was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 21, 1976.
Mr. Nesbett is survived by his loving wife, Olivia West Nesbett, and his only daughter, Rachel Tatum Nesbett. He is also survived by his mother, Pamela Crawford Nesbett; his two brothers, Homer Nesbett and David Nesbett; his dear mother in law, Margaret "Peggy" West; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and large group of friends. Mr. Nesbett was preceded in death by his father, Homer Louis Nesbett, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
After his family, Shane's second love was bull riding. He rode professionally in the sport as a teen and on into his adulthood.
Shane was an avid outdoors man. He loved to play and be associated with softball, baseball, hunting (particularly duck hunting), and fishing. Shane tournament fished for several years and would talk to anyone about the sport.
The third love of his life was Louisiana State University where he attended college. If there was something you wanted to know about LSU, Shane knew it! He also attended MGCCC Gulf Coast Campus where he received his associate's degree in Marine Mechanics and Small Engine Repair.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E. Beach Blvd. in Long Beach at 11am, visitation will begin at 10am that morning. There will be a reception to follow mass at the St. Thomas open air pavilion directly behind the church.
