William J. "Bill" Dillon

Dec. 9, 1933 - April 27, 2013


William J. "Bill" Dillon, age 79, of Pascagoula passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Bill graduated from Lexie High School in Lexie, MS and Jones County Jr. College. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Academy and retired in 1986 as Highway Patrolman after 25 years of service. Close to his heart was organizing the Christmas party of the Jackson County Exceptional School.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Dillon; mother, Louella Dillon; sister, Joanne Whittington; in laws, Hazel Byrd Gaddis and Roy L. Gaddis.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cassandra G. Dillon; daughter, Sondra Dillon Loper; son-in-law, Steven A. Loper all of Pascagoula; two grandsons, Henry Dillon Loper, Pascagoula and Brandon Loper of Las Vegas, NV; special dear friend, Major Gavin Wells, Seoul, Korea.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 6:00-8:00pm at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 10:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Cecil Locke officiating. Graveside will be 3:00pm at Centerville Baptist Church in Tylertown, MS.
