MSgt. William Kiefer, USMC, Ret.

Diamondhead, MS

You never truly know who lives within your community. MSgt. William Kiefer USMC, Ret. of Diamondhead, MS passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the age of 79. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Florence Keifer and two brothers Richard Keifer and Lawrence Keifer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Ann "Mickey" Kiefer, two daughters Lisa Kiefer Garland (Brad Jurgensen) and Joelle Kiefer Vallee (Derek Vallee), one granddaughter Amanda Garland (Adam Shaffer). He also has four sisters, two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and one "loyal" dog Mai Tai.

Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps. for 22 years. He also retired from Brinks Inc. after 17 years of service. He was instrumental in opening Brinks on the Gulf Coast. Bill then decided to live up his retirement by starting his own business Automatic Teller Response Inc.

If you knew Bill his favorite pass times were boating, hanging out at Uncle Joe's, the VFW, Diamondhead Ship Store, his office and his break room.

The Family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of Garden Park hospital in Gulfport for their care and concern for Bill.

Coastal Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS is honored to assist the family with Mr. Kiefer's final arrangements. A private memorial service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, your love and friendship is welcomed.

We love you dad and you will be greatly missed.
