Marshall, Charles Ellis, 80 of Ft. Lauderdale passed away on Saturday, July 27. He was born in Detroit, MI on December 8, 1932 to George Ellis and Mary Louise Marshall. Charles, fondly called "Chuck", proudly served in the United States Army as a corpsman during the Korean War. After returning from the war he married June Pegg on September 24, 1955. He worked for General Motors as a test driver until relocating to Lincoln Park, NJ to take over the family business. In 1977 he moved his family to Nashville, GA to become a top salesman for Chaparral Boats. He later moved his family to Ft. Lauderdale in 2000 to continue his salesmanship for the newly founded family business, Monterey Boats. Chuck is survived by and is dearly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years June Pegg Marshall; sister Alice Holden; son Charles Ellis Marshall, Jr.; son Jeffery Todd Marshall; daughter Mary Marshall Johnson; son-in-law Curtis Drew Johnson; grandchildren Ashley Marshall, Charles Marshall, Austin Kiick, Jessika Marshall, Victoria Marshall, Michelle Marshall, Matthew Marshall, Alexandra Kiick, Dagmar Michelson and Nicholas Dufort. His lifelong dream was to "travel the world". Chuck and June accomplished this dream by extensively traveling throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Antarctica, and Australia. Chuck will always be remembered for his love of family, generosity to others, sense of humor and his "gift of gab". We will hold him dearly in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at St. Anthony's Church at a date to be announced in the near future.
