Charles Franklin Mackey died at his home in Boca Raton, FL on Monday, May 13th, 2013 of natural causes. He was born in Irving, TX on Oct 7, 1920 and is survived by his loving wife, Blanca Arroyuelo Mackey. They were married 15 years. He is also survived by his four daughters: Judith (Gene) Dessel, Patricia (Stephen) Overstreet, Tracey Waddelow, Michelle (Michael) Heinle. Charlie graduated from the Univ of Texas in chemical engineering in 1942. He retired from Georgia-Pacific Chemical division in 1986 after serving as VP at the complex in Plaquemine, LA for 16 years He and Blanca spent these last years between Boca Raton and Acapulco, Mexico. Charlie and Blanca were members of American Legion and the Salvation Army- Friends of Acapulco. They are very grateful for the care and support of Dr. Michael Lewis and Dr. Andrew Lehman. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
