Eric Robert Anderson, DDS, 71 of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away in Jackson, Wyoming, on January 19, 2013. Eric was born in Joliet, IL, to Eric and Charlotte Anderson on July 6, 1941. He graduated from Elgin High School (IL) in 1959, Northwestern University Undergraduate School in 1963, and Northwestern University Dental School in 1968. Eric was a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Broward Dental Association, serving at the latter as treasurer for 30 years. Eric practiced dentistry in Fort Lauderdale for 38 years and was a lifelong student of the art and science of dentistry. In retirement, he used his motor home to tour the country, pursuing his love of outdoor activities including hiking and skiing. Traveling at his side was his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary Barbara Anderson, and with them, their treasured feline companions. Eric is survived by his wife, Mary Barbara Anderson (Bolger), along with many cousins and close friends. Eric was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, March 1, at 11 am, at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2511 N Ocean Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305, Rev. Ronald Brohammer officiating.
