Jay Ahearn, 65, of Vero Beach, passed away May 8,2013. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1948. Jay graduated from Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey and married Thomas Ahearn on November 28, 1980. Jay was full of life, love and compassion. She was an avid tennis player and, like all women, loved to shop. Her family was the most important part of her life. She spent most of her mornings watching the sunrise from her beach house with the love of her life Thomas Ahearn. Even after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Jay always stayed positive and inspired many to keep an attitude of gratitude. She was survived by a daughter Christina Ring; son David DePillis; step-son Brian Ahearn; granddaughter Samantha Ring; grandsons Sebastian DePillis and TJ Ring. Unborn granddaughter, Taylor Ahearn, is due this September. Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Vero Beach at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 13th. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation is made to the Sari Asher Cancer Center of Palm Beach in her name. http://www.saricenter.org
