Goode, John Barfield of Wilton Manors, FL. and Washington D.C. of 50 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1:40 pm. He is survived by his sister Juanita Komegay and her three daughters; Jennifer, Susan and Cindy, his sister-in-law Judy Goode and her two daughters; Heather and Scarlet. Six nieces and nephews; Mark, Toni, Terry, John, Clara and Rick from his deceased older brother Richard, and Kenneth Harrison, partner of thirty years. John lived 80 years of honesty and integrity and was the proud owner of Powers and Goode, four haberdashery men's clothing stores in the Washington D.C. and MD. areas from 1955 to 1980. John was born in Raleigh, NC. and grew up in eastern NC. near Goldsboro and Mt Olive. John served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was in The Social List of Washington D.C. for many years and was President of College Park Md. Board Of Trades from 1968 to 1969. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
