Longtime Delray Beach resident, Patricia L. Archer, Pat or Patsy to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Her life was a celebration of public service and she held a deep and abiding love and pride for the City of Delray Beach. As Vice Chair for the Palm Beach County Ethics Committee, former Delray Beach Commissioner, Vice Mayor, Deputy Vice Mayor, Rotary Club and Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce member, she will be sorely missed in our local community. She also served on the Palm Beach County Metropolitan Planning Organization, as AVDA President, and on numerous volunteer committees for the city and county. There will be a memorial service held at Unity Church of Delray Beach at 101 NW 22nd Street in Delray Beach at 4pm on Thursday the 23rd. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers in her memory to AVDA at PO Box 6161, Delray Beach, FL 33482 She is survived by her husband David, her stepson Dan and granddaughter Natalie; her sisters Pam and Joan, her brothers Robert and Richard, three nieces, 6 great nieces and nephews, and numerous close and dear friends.
