ALFRED ALPHONSE LECHIFFLARD Mr. Alfred Alphonse Lechifflard, 91, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his home. Mr. Lechifflard was born in West Virginia and moved to Vero Beach 50 years ago from Okeechobee, FL. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Navy under Admiral Nimitz. Mr. Lechifflard had been a welder for Piper Aircraft prior to his retirement and was a member of the VFW. Survivors include wife Betty Lechifflard of Vero Beach, son Lynn Lechifflard of Vero Beach, daughters Peggy Richardson of Vero Beach, Joanne Dowling of Vero Beach and Valerie Tran of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sister Yvonne Warner of Lantana, twenty-two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Lechifflard, son John Lechifflard and brother Marcel Lechifflard. Memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight, Inc., Attn: Diane Gresse, 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, OH 45505 SERVICES: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Life Celebration Service will begin at 10 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Interment with military honors will be at 2:30 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens in Lake Worth, FL. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneral home.com.
