Born Agnes Acree Newton on May 25, 1924 in Forsyth, GA, Sis attended the University of Georgia where she majored in music and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. They married a year later and were long-time residents of Coral Gables until moving to Oak Harbor in Vero Beach in 1999. Ralph, who had been a confirmed bachelor before meeting Sis, became an instant father to her two children from her first marriage. A devoted wife, mother and friend, Sis was also a fabulous cook. She will be remembered by many for her gracious Southern style of entertaining and especially her New Year's Day parties. In addition to her husband, Ralph, Sis is survived by her daughter Ann Ramsey Hill (Dave) of Cincinnati, her son, Archie Wood Ramsey, Jr. (Megan) of Atlanta, her grandson, John David Hill, Jr. of Cincinnati, and her nephews, Howell (Lynn) Cornell, Ware (Lisa) Cornell and Walter (Margret) Cornell.
