GLASSCOCK Edwin Lavaughn Glasscock, 89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Ed Glasscock was born in Florence, Alabama on August 14, 1924. His family moved to Auburndale, Florida in 1925. He served in the Army (Indian Head) 2nd infantry division during WWII. In 1964, he moved to Stuart, Florida and later became the City Manager of Stuart, Florida. He retired in 1984. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Idelle Glasscock, his wife Edith of 64 years, his son-in-law, Rick Bair. He is survived by three daughters: Sherra Bair, Ann Richardson (Pete) all of Stuart, Florida and Susan Copeland (Paul) of Montgomery, Alabama: 5 grandchildren: Chris Bair (Meg), Suzanne Stanford (Stan), Darden Copeland (Sarah), Matthew Copeland and Patrick Copeland: 4 great-grandchildren.
