DR. GEORGE DEMOSTHENES MEKRAS, 65 of Coral Gables, FL and Vero Beach, FL. Passed away March 18th surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were held March 21st. Survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Satira, sons Demosthenes (Lourdes), Peter (Cristina) and John (Jimena) Mekras. Grandchildren, G. Nicholas, Eleni, Samantha and George Mekras, sister Evangeline (John) Scurtis, brother Dr. John (Pamela) Mekras, sister-in-law Eleni (Reider) Hoff and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Demosthenes and Presbytera Toula Mekras, in-laws Mary and Peter Karter, brother-in-law Alec Karter.
