HERMAN J. "JUD" SUTTLE died peacefully early Sunday morning September 15, 2013 at Riverstone Hospice House in Billings, Montana. Jud is survived by his wife of 66 years Beverly R. (welch) Suttle. Jud and Beverly had 3 children. Daughter Carol Suttle Scher- Stanley. Sons Herman J. (Judd) Suttle, Jr (wife Tammy} and Timothy Lee Suttle (wife Cathy}. Nine Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-Grandchildren. Many Nieces, Nephews and cousins across the country. Jud was born and raised in Harrison County, WVA. Jud was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 1943 to 1946. After the war he attended Potomac State College in Keyser, WVA where he met his future Bride, Beverly. They were married on January 9th, 1947 in Keyser. Jud received his degree in Physical Education from George Washington University in Washington, DC. During the mid 1950's until 1963 he was an elementary school teacher and principal in Spotsylvania, VA. After receiving his Masters in Education from the University of Virginia, he moved the family to Vero Beach, FL. Jud and Bev retired from Indian River County School System in June of 1986. Jud was a long standing member of the Vero Beach Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing with his long time friends. Weekly breakfast get togethers with his fellow retired principals. Traveling to WVA and Montana and just listening to the Grass grow. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with us. We are all blessed to have had him in our lives for so long. He will be sorely missed by all. Viewing will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 with a service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. Dr. Floyd Hall of the First United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Condolences may be sent at
