LLOYD L. BAKER Age 84, of Stuart, FL, departed peacefully to his eternal home on October 19, 2013, while under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice. Lloyd was born May 7, 1929 on Lake Okeechobee, Fl. He was preceded in death by Joyce, his wife of 51 years. He is survived by his brother, Donald Corbett and sister, Cleo Benedetti; his four children, Bradford, Bryan (Bodie), Bart, and Bonnie; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. After completing his enlistment in the Army during the Korean War, he worked for Orkin Exterminating for 17 years and then began Lloyd's Pest Control. He briefly retired and then went into business with his son Bradford as Baker's Termite and Pest Control. Lloyd was very active in community service, including the VFW and Elks Lodge. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral (950 SE Monterey Rd; Stuart, FL 34994), where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Arab, AL on Saturday, October 26th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997).
