RUSSELL K. OSBALDESTON Obituary

RUSSELL K. OSBALDESTON, 83, passed away on August 13, 2014. A resident of Fort Pierce, FL, born in Tiverton, RI, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Esther Osbaldeston and brother of the late Ralph and Frank Osbaldeston, Jr. He attended schools in Tiverton, RI and Fall River, MA, and was a graduate of Bryant University, Smithfield, RI. He was a member of Tau Epsilon and Phi Kappa Sigma national fraternity. He entered the US Army during the Korean War and served in the Judge Advocate General Department. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class in 1954. He lived in California for many years, and retired there as head auditor for Hughes Aircraft Company, a division of General Motors. Following retirement, he was a volunteer for several law enforcement organizations in California. Upon moving to Florida he was a volunteer forensic accountant with the State Attorney's Office, and also the law firm of E. Clayton Yates. He was a volunteer with the Fort Pierce Police Department. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post #50 in Fort Pierce. He was a member of Eureka and St. John's Lodge of Masons and The Acquidneck Masonic Chapter in Portsmouth, RI. Russell was a past member of the Palestine Temple, Shriners in Providence, RI, and was a co- founder of Saddleback Valley Masonic Lodge in Mission Viejo, CA. Survivors include several cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Yates Funeral Home and Crematory in Fort Pierce, FL. Interment will be held in Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton, RI.
