Daniel L. Brown, 86, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Claire (Dunstan) Brown, with whom he shared over 62 years of loving marriage.
Born in Mauch Chunk, he was a son of the late Arthur and Irene (Kemmerle) Brown.He honorably served our in both the U.S. Navy and Army, and later served as a police officer in Freemansburg and Newport News, Va.
- He was an oil bur-ner mech-anic for the Bethlehem Area School District for many years.
Brown was a 32nd Degree member of H. Stanley Goodwin Lodge No. 348, Free and Accepted Masons, a past master of the Minsi Lodge and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Virginia, wife of Bob Heller of Bath; a son Lester of Allentown; two sisters, Evelyn Nestor of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marcia Brown of Bethlehem; a brother, Charles L. of Lawrenceville, N.J.; and a granddaughter, Nicole Brown of Northampton.
He was also predeceased by three brothers, three sisters and by a grandson, Thomas M. Romig.
