Edward A. Kociscin|
Edward A. Kociscin, 79, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Saturday, May 31. He was the husband of Peggy Kociscin. They were married for 48 years.
He worked for the Sandia Laboratory for 35 years before retiring as a draftsman.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Lapos) Kociscin.
He received an associate's degree in drafting and design from Penn State University.
He was a strong-willed, very independent, and a do-it-yourself kind of guy who was always the first to offer help if someone needed it. He loved his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing and dog training.
Ed was a loving husband, father and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Amy Elizabeth; a brother Joseph, and his wife; three sisters, Martha, Helen Lynch and Florence Kalbac; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, John Patrick; and three sisters, Anna, Margaret and Mary.
Service: Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque at a later date. Memorial Mass 8 a.m. Saturday, July 5, St. Katherine Drexel Church, Lansford. Contributions in his name may be made to the
