Henry A. Kelcinski, 71, of Towamensing Twp., Kunkletown, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 13, at his home.
He was born in New York City, on Oct. 1, 1942, son of the late Henry A. Sr. and Raphaela (Balzano) Kelcinski. Henry spent 20 years in the demanding and courageous work as a police officer for the New York City Police Department before retiring in 1985.
- Henry was the loving husband of Loretta (Bruno) Kelcinski. They celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on April 20.
He served our country with dedication and courage in the U.S. Navy.
We have been blessed with the presence of Henry in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his wife Loretta; his children, Henry A. Kelcinski III, and wife Erica, of Oceanside, CA, and Loretta Jordan, and husband Mark Jezina, of Bronx, N.Y. He was the loving and gentle grandfather to his six grandchildren, Bianca Kelly, and husband Dennis, of Staten Island, N.Y., Jesse Jezina of Brooklyn, Alexis Rodrigues of Brooklyn, Lee Jezina, and fiancée Mario of Brooklyn, Nekoda Jezina of Bronx, N.Y., and Ernest Rodriguez, and fiancée Clarabel of Brooklyn; seven great-grandchildren: Sammy, Karlie, Eric, Ryan, Jay, Isabella and Massimo. Henry is also survived by a brother, Mark Kelcinski of Florida; brother-in-law, Arthur Bruno, and companion Emma, of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Tozzo and Stephanie Dowling.
Services: will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with Pastor Ernest Diefenderfer officiating.
