Joseph F. Weber Sr., 72, of Church Road, Bath, Moore Township, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 10, in the Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. |
He was a layout operator for the Agere Corporation, Allentown, for 43 years before retiring in 2002.Born in Manhattan, New York City, N.Y., he was a son of the late Pauline (Weber) Miller.
- He was the husband of Paulette M. (Snis-cak) Weber since Feb. 24, 1967.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bath.
Weber was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, having attained the rank of lance corporal.
He was a 1958 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School.
He was an officer and treasurer of the Petersville Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the East Bath Rod and Gun Club, the Bath Republican Association, the Raccoon Club, East Allen Township, the Jacksonian Club, Nazareth, and the Telephone-Communication Pioneers Association.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Janean M. of Northampton; three sons, Joseph F. Jr., and his wife, Colleen, of Summit Hill, Paul M., and his wife, Kathleen, of Bath, and David M. of Northampton; five grandchildren, Jordan, Christopher, Megan, Elisha and Ryan; a brother, Robert Miller of New York City; and aunts.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bath, with Msgr. Francis Nave officiating. Interment with military honors, parish cemetery, Bath. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
