Michael Allen Behler, 57, of Scarbro, W. Va., died Sunday, May 12, in the Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, W. Va.
He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, Md., as a micro-biologist for several years.
Born in Alameda, Calif., he was a son of the late Phillip Behler and Audrey (Kehler) Behler.
Behler graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in micro-biology.Surviving are his partner of 23 years, David Athen Bryant, of Scarbro; two brothers, Anthony of Fayetteville, W. Va., and Christopher of Tamaqua; two sisters, Kellee, wife of Jeff Klintop of Albrightsville, and Lisa, wife of Fred Stabler of new Ringgold; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
- He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Independence.
