Robert G. "Bobby" Moser, 63, of 60 Lentz Ave., Lehighton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Marilen P. (Kromer) Moser. They were married for 42 years on Oct. 16.
Prior to retiring, he worked in the production department of Ametek, Inc., Nesquehoning.
He previously was the body shop supervisor at the former IDC, Mahoning Township.Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles W. Jr. and Elizabeth (Utsick) Moser.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having served aboard the USS Walke.
Moser was a former Lehighton Borough Council member, having served for many years. He was also involved with many community activities, having started and sponsored an Easter egg hunt for the children in the community for the past three years.
The deceased was a member of Bethany E.C. Church, American Legion Post 314 and its Vietnam Last Man's Club, F. and A.M. Lodge No. 621 and the Gnaden Huetten Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, all of Lehighton; the Vietnam Veterans of Carbon County, Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown, the High Twelve Club and the Rajah Shriners.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Brandy, wife of Scott Allen of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kristy, wife of Charles L. Hahn of Lehighton; three grandsons, Sean Allen of Virginia Beach and Sebastian and Landon Hahn, both of Lehighton; four sisters, June Nothstein, Marie Frable and Julianna Christman, all of Lehighton, and Barbara Morris of Phoeniz, Ariz,; two 2 brothers, Gary of Wilkes-Barre and John of Lehighton; and nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by two sisters, Agnes Stahler and Anna Murphy; and two brothers, Ricky N. and Charles W. III.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment with full military honors, Lehighton Cemetery, under direction of Lehighton Area UVO. Call 9:45-11 a.m. Monday. Masonic and OES services 9:30 a.m. Monday.
