Victor J. Yanega|
Victor J. Yanega, 81, died on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home in Bethlehem. He was born May 2, 1932 in Lansford, PA, son of the late Victor J. and Anna Yanega. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (Keenan) Yanega.
Victor was a graduate of Lansford High School.
In 1959, Victor graduated from Drexel University. He retired after a 35 year career as an electrical engineer with Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent. He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem.Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia; sons, Victor and his wife, Leah of Anacortes, WA; Joseph B. and his wife, Linda of Bethlehem and Timothy, and his wife, Jane of Center Valley; as well as his six grandchildren, Joshua, Allyson, Sarah, Andrew, Macy and Zoe; a sister, Jane Kracum of Tresckow, PA; and his brother, Robert and his wife, Judy of Zionsville, PA. Victor was preceded in death by his brother, William.
- He proudly served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Stafore Men's Golf Group, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time in Florida during the winter and he loved being with his grandchildren.
Services: Visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Church of Notre Dame of Bethlehem 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery.
