Albert D. Loscialo

Albert D. Loscialo, 90, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on November 2, 2012.

He was born on October 23, 1922, in New York City, one of fourteen children born to Sergio and Antonette Loscialo. Al proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 10th Mountain Division. He was awarded a Purple Heart, an American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medical for his valiant duty.

In 1966, he established A. D. Loscialo & Co., Inc. in New York City. In the late 1970s he sold his sanitation business. Al and his family moved from New Jersey to Tallahassee in 1979 where he reestablished his company as one of the early paper recycling companies in Tallahassee.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine Loscialo, and four children; George (Tina) Loscialo, Cathy (Tony) Givens, Frank (Angie) Loscialo, all of Tallahassee, and Carol Loscialo of Lebanon, NJ; grandchildren, Frankie, Nicole, Christine, Jonathan, Joseph, Sergio, Annette, Carolyn, and Matthew; and a sister, Vera (Mike) Mucelli of New York City.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 - 7 pm Monday, November 5, 2012 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road.
