James Preston (JP) Fenton, age 88, of Palestine TX passed away of natural causes on June 10th, 2013 in Tallahassee, FL under the loving care of Linda and her dedicated staff at L&L Assisted Living. JP was a war veteran serving in the Marines during WWII.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, he was employed as a mechanical engineer for 50 years.

JP had a passion for puttering and tinkering and was known for his outrageous dry humor. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce of Tallahassee, FL ; and by his daughter and only child, Michelle and son-in-law Jeff of Tallahassee, FL; and by his friends (that are still living).

JP walked quietly while on this planet: his words were few, but he kept us laughing until the end and with his facial expressions: priceless memories.

A private memorial service is being held and his family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to COVENANT HOSPICE, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Suite 150, Tallahassee FL 32308 at 850/575-4998. Bevis Funeral Home (850/385-2193, www.bevisfh.com) is assiting the family with the arragements.
