Jane Alice Stieber Grosslight
Jane Alice Stieber Grosslight, born November 22, 1930, Philadelphia, PA, died, following a brief illness, July 23, 2014 in Tallahassee, FL. Jane earned her Bachelors of Science, Psychology from Penn State University, where she met and married Joseph Henry Grosslight.
The family lived in Kent, OH before relocated to Tallahassee in 1967 where she earned her Masters of Science from Florida State University. Jane worked with Continuing Education at Florida State University. Those who knew Jane understood retirement was never an option. She owned Durwood Publishers, working until her death as a lighting designer, publishing many award winning books, articles and speaking nationally on the subject.

Jane enjoyed family, cooking, academic inquiry, funny comics, and generally being active and engaged in life. Her breadth of knowledge on numerous topics was impressive. London was her favorite city. She was thrilled to give personal tours and arranged trips for family, friends and colleagues. She was a member of the Rotary Club of Tallahassee, Illuminating Engineering Society among others.

Jane is survived by her sons Kenneth Russell (Susan) of Blythewood, SC and James Theodore, of Raleigh, NC, grandsons Russell Joseph and Robert Hammond, both of Blythewood, SC and sister Sally Ann Stieber, of Coatesville, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Theodore Ernest Stieber and May Louise Rommel, and her husband.

A grave side service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00am, Roselawn Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tallahassee Junior Museum. Elizabeth Chambers of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
